Looking at my facebook homepage and i was looking through some of the photos with me tagged inside. haha, and it really brings weird, familiar yet heartwarming feelings. haha, corny.

Crazy, i know her for like 14 years already, but i think i barely spoke like 2 sentences to her like since 2 plus years ago when i came back to the church.

Olympic Fishing

Today marks a special day for Waihong, he clinched the first ever Bronze medal for the Olympic sport:FIshing in the Beijing Olympics 2008. Making both his nation and his family proud. Commenting on his extraordinary efforts, Waihong commented, " There were many skeptics who thought i couldn't do it, but i managed to prove them wrong. I'm very pleased with my performance in this olympics. "

Scrapping the bronze mark by a very slight margin of 10 points, he beat the other contenders of the competition such as a Japanese actor from Japan. When asked about his strategy and his style of fishing, he candidly replied, " All it takes for me, is perseverance and determination. These are definitely the essentials to get some awesome fishing for me at least. "

Waihong hopes to bring home the Gold medal in the Next Olympics in London. " By then, i would be a more matured and skillful fisher and i will definitely be spending the next 4 years training hard, learning all the tricks of the trade. From the making of nets to harpoons or even sonar fishing. I'll be experimenting on the different styles of fishing to outplay the other competitors." Well driven and determined, this young boy will definitely be worth watching in the next Olympics.

VJC- These two years

Its coming to an end, and the gravity of it tugs at me even deeper when i went looking through all the notes and pictures and birthday greetings. Some brought me smiles while some just made me sigh. haha, while some(mostly last year stuff, are instantaneously chucked into the bin.) Exco have made my life in vj really laughable, when i looked at my birthday greetings from them, haha. i really laughed. Junior exco have been nice too, especially yinhonghong and stepfunny quack. reminiscences of farewell night comes to mind immediately when i think of these two girls. how i pissed them off. hahaha. and lastly, the one and only thing bittersweet girl wrote to me. and i laughed at the concluding statement which literally meant dun take this with any hope, coz i did this for everyone else too. that deserves a laugh.

Having an art attack this weekend and it wont stop so i put them together onto this board i bought.

FINALLY!

after two days! its done(: yay.

now, that's not the difficult part. even if it may take 10 hours to do this. it doesnt matter if it does not fulfill its destiny! haha.

That's part one of the gift. still got part 2 part 3. aiya. and if it doesnt reach the end. it would have been all down the drain.

anyway, alot of obstacles in the recording process. i fell sick on friday night, morning straight away start on my project at 7.30 in the morning. do do do. until time to go edge. then today morning i swear i coughed out blood. at least there was blood in my phleghm. sore throat was horrible.

Just talked to the producer from zaistudios.
I almost cried ): i swear man.

Was talking to him about my plans to record a demo on Sunday. and he asked me for my set-up.

Vocalist

He said ok.. It'll take 2 hours to track the vocalist, 1 hours for every other instrument. which means it'll take you about 6 hours. and if its 120 an hour.

Cost of recording my demo

6 hours times $120= $720
Sound engineer and producer: $300

that's a hell lot of money.

So, i said k, we'll cut down instruments. He said no, you lose the frequencies needed and stuff la, anyway he made alot of sense. He said if you're going to record just an acoustic or take out any instruments, you'll just be throwing money down the drain if you're just going to make a crappy demo. So, his advice to me was. " save up more money and i'll hope to see you someday." After i put down the phone.. I WAS SCREAMING IN MY MIND! 1000 dollars for a song! you gotta be kidding me!

Pressure

Not the A levels.
But, Its the recording this Sunday.
I'm going to record my song properly, no more shutting off all my windows and stuffing myself in the room trying to reduce the background noise.
GOSH. so much money involved. I'm so so broke. sigh.
Allowance cut into half, and i owe my class fund about 140 dollars.(long story)

(: but i'm still ok. realised that having all these financial tragedies have helped me learn to save money. (:

And i still insist on the song title staying as it is. I KNOW IT Sounds like SYF spelt wrongly. And its a stupid song title, but i told myself that it stays. so it stays.

I JUST DELETED BOTH WARCRAFT 3 AND WORLD OF WARCRAFT! woo. time to study hard, no more distractions.

You know you've crossed the line of playing for fun when you start dreaming about fairie dragons at night.Lets give you a mental picture. Gosh. that has got to be the stupidest thing to dream about. It kinda hits at you to GO OUT AND GET A LIFE. yea.

Weekend attack

Its friday today. or at least it feels like.
Yay. so there's 1 more day of school and we're off to another weekend. woo.
The week just decided to skip its middle portions.
so i have my favourite days all in a week, yay weekends, fridays, and tomorrow's WEDNESDAY! loves wednesday much.
If you're wondering wad in the world i'm typing. I have no idea too. been awake for 19 hours and counting. woke up at 4 this morning and i'm still around at 11.30.
talk about a major headache.

Anyway, mugging at hsuan te's house was kinda ok, just that there was too little time. ended up playing lots of wc3.

hmm. wad can i say. Oh, on an emo side. salmon thinks he lost his spare batteries. or he could be just overeacting as usual. Reflecting on Shaun's words about how i always screw it up. And. yea. its true. it so is.

I've possibly made the stupidest choice, at least mental choice for now.
That decision probably borders on a triangular platform between dreaming, reaching for the impossible and just pure insanity.
Seriously. It may sound corny, but just a smile from the bittersweet girl threw out any other plans i had. Maybe, it's for the better, but the most likely outcome is a drive through another series of heartbreaks! ): it seems like i'm regretting this even before i've started on it.(again)

ANYWAY, I went out with my dad yesterday to meet his friend to fix my laptop which is essentially my recording studio.. hoho. However, since June I've lost the program to record my songs): SO, finally i'm gonna get it fixed hopefully soon. Coz, wadever delays would mean less time for meeting my deadline. So, we went over to Novena, united square area ya. haha, and my dad's friend was learning drums from the Academy of Rock, She and her daughter both learns drums there and we looked from a small little window into the room, and there were like 2 drums packed into a room. And the music started to play, ooh. Its jenny by click5. haha, the way they learn it so funny, like got notes and stuff. And my father asked "is that how you learn the song?" No, And i tried to explain to him that i play by ear. oh well.

Yup, so we hang around that place for kinda too long, and there was a jamming session, where little kids go on stage to perform. MY GOODNESS. And to anyone that thinks edge worship is loud, I swear i jumped at the first drumbeat. Crazy little half-angmoh boy. They played "All the small things" by blink182, the 2 little malay guitarists were good! the singer, who is the big angmoh guy(the drummer's father) was strangely, for a lack of words, monotonous.



:) moving on to today. During service this morning, somehow we got distracted, and me and jermyn were looking at andrew's phone and all his very girly, pinkish themes. I sent some to my phone and jermyn continued playing around with it and lo and behold. A picture of andrew choo and a girl who looks like she leaning on his shoulders.. AWW.. anyway, i bluetoothed it over and decided to do something funny. So after service i went around and like "who wants to see andrew's girlfriend?" and people were like crowding around and like wah andrew. Andrew there, having a knack for adverse reactions, just sat there nonchalently, "wadever you all say, i know its not means its not." haha, showed it to Zhini and she was like wahh andrew, no wonder friday always never come la, every week go dating. Andrew being the standup comedian he is, insisted "AIYA, we go study only la." haha, study go take picture. Yea, Andrew's moving over to Pasir Ris in September YAY. Finally! someone moving over from Siglap. I can stop bugging my parents to move there. haha.

Its the bittersweet girl, and today she made me realise again how her smile brightens up my day.
haha. And how my classmates are so not subtle with their " Wah, waihong not bad ah, she smile at you" LIKE DUN SAY THAT IN FRONT OF HER, destroy the effort i put to try to make it natural. wad am i talking about.
