Andrew said i could write stuff about random things in life. But, i guess i've tried. hmm, but it just ain't good when there's no emotional attachment and stuff to the song. Gosh.. Now, i've got 2 songs dedicated to her. And they are both my best songs. This is the first song i managed to get out of the G key. haha and i played around with john mayer's "why georgia" chords. Thank God for this heavenly inspiration. :)

OH my! i just watched this amazing video! So nice. I present to you. *Drumroll* Martina Mcbride- Anyway from American Idol 6, where she was a guest performer. Her voice is super powerful, one of the greatest country singers. she's pretty and she sings so well. Her husband's one lucky guy.

Impressions matter

I attended an 8 hours long workshop on the techniques and skills required to ace an interview. haha. So along the way, it somehow turned into a singles relationship crashcourse. It made alot of sense. so, you draw a triangle with A, C, and R.

A- Affinity
Which essentially means yuan fen in chinese. And he said that affinity can be created. How so? Appreciate, also another A word comes into play. If you put in the effort to be sincere and appreciate people, then it'll be easy to gain some affinity, if that's even possible. Because people are made to think of him/herself as the most important part of their lives, which is true. But everyone wants to have people hear them out. So, if you become the listener, just keep quiet and let the other person be the center of your whole universe for that good few minutes, you've managed to be a friend. All in all, under this segment, it means not to judge people, and be nice to everybody, cause you'll never know what may come out of it. and people like to be appreciated.:)

R- Reality
Reality.. is like a train.
which requires a common platform in order to meet. or something like that. see, if you and another person dont have a common platform, then you'll just be getting off at different stops right? then, there'll be no reality to the conversation or even the relationship for that matter. So, common platform means similarities. In hobbies, music, wadever. Always try to look for something to talk about. The best thing if in doubt, is to always ask about studying, coz that's wad all singaporeans do. and food? hahaha.

C- Communication

I learnt this the hard way. Hmm, i guess everyone kind of know what they expect and are expected to portray to people in terms of communication. Its like " i know, i konw, must be a good listener." but, to putting it into practice requires much more then just talk. It requires putting down ALOT of things. like ego, and emotions. When you're quiet, you cant be angry or sad or happy. you're just doing nothing. i mean if your facial expressions so powerful then can la. haha. Then, there's understanding. Listening doesnt translate to understanding. It means internalizing and integrating whatever that's going through your head and picking out things that are essential. So, you actually know what they are talking about. You dun wanna get caught spacing off when someone's having an emotional fit about something and you cant remember the details. If that happens, you've just lost a billion of points in that friendship. Lastly, i believe that good communication requires honesty. Yes. be honest to be trusted. And not telling the whole truth isnt honesty as well. Can you imagine when you've known somebody for such a long time, then only when something drastic happens that you find out something about that person? i mean, we cant really help it at times, but i guess also that's a way of learning about others. Cant really expect everyone you meet to pour out their guts within such a small period of time.

Wow, I just wrote a whole GP essay on my favourite category. :) i hope something like this comes out for GP the following monday.

This is so cool la, i got to hear his live album, alive and transported. This song's a fusion of funk and hiphop. I dun think lots of people listen to this kind of songs, but i intro you all la. (:
he's really cool. he's 43 but look so young. actually, this song's ok only la, i just like the video effects for the song. and the breaks between parts and the variation of sounds.

On a can of Milo

HAHA. i found the weirdest thing on a milo tin.


i walked into the kitchen to get a cup of water, and looked up and was like !!!, its Calvin Kang! haha. i know he's like pretty famous now, saw him on newspaper a couple of times. Singapore's fastest man. He was a pretty funny guy in sec 1, then he moved to Singapore sports school in sec 2. oh well. haha. It's kinda weird coz there's a picture of him in my kitchen, and i'll be seeing him until all the milo inside is gone. :(

A queer observation

Have any of you noticed the weird fashion choice people have nowadays? i dun mean to sound mean or wadever, but i have this really queer observation lately.

First it started with my guitar teacher in charge, then some guitar girl, and today i saw at least 2 other people in church with the same dress sense. K, lets not keep you in suspense, but have you noticed these really weird clothes that make you look pregnant, or how should i put it?err, its the opposite of a waisthugging dress. ya.ya. not implying that it isnt nice. but maybe i need more time to get used to seeing them around. haha.

anyway, that day at esplanade, Andrew was saying that my songs all very emo or something like that, and i should write happy songs. ya, so hear goes. i know its kinda silly typing lyrics down, but wadever la, my laptop is broken, i cant record anything.

The Longest Run/Jog/Walk

I dun really like to run. But yesterday i decided to meet up with andrew choo and run a really long route. If you guys didnt know, i'm staying in Kembagan the whole week. And although its near the Mrt, there are no buses here. anyway, i jogged from kembagan through the park connector, all the way up to saint pat's to meet andrew. then we continued to jog, past vj, across the overhead bridge turn left, past alot of chalets and then restaurants, and past the lagoon and hawker centre, and then finally reaching bedok jetty. then back again.
it took me 1 hour plus. but it was quite fun. haha.
we're so going to do it again. :D

And this world is so connected its scary.
Cherish saw my photos from Japan and was like ooh, geraldine went too.
i was like ah, you know geraldine? then she was like, she has a sister named elain, my cousin knows her sister, i know her and she knows me, and my mother knows her mother.

that's really scary.

Random Guitar Outing

Today we had our first random guitar outing. ya, the basses and the primes. actually only got 7 of us la, coz 1 got pw, 2 fell sick. watched narnia. Caspian was a letdown. His accent destroyed his look, its like putting a terrorist voice to the pretty boy. destroyed his entire package man. They tried giving a middle-eastern feeling to him, but it failed horribly. makes the movie sounds like some budget malaysian movie. apologies to you malaysian folks, k. if you're malaysian, the above word is changed to singaporean k? haha.

then, we went over to esplanade to have our dinner at some cool japanese place la. and we did wad anyone would have done if they had a full stomache and very comfortable seats. GOSSIP! haha, actually not really la, just talking crap only. talk talktalk talk, then i missed my tuition time, so i called pam to tell her to cancel it. then we continued talking until it was like wad. 9.30. WHAT HAPPENED TO STUDYING! i dunno man. i shall coop myself up in the house for the next two days and mug like a hsuan te.

Japan Trip

Here's a quick summary of the trip:) it was really fun but tiring at the same time, alot of moments of drama and just plain wacky laughable fun.

Day 1:
that was the day at the airport i guess, the tour agency counts that as day 1, though we only spent 3 hours of that day for the trip. that includes going to school, then taking a bus to the airport, and hanging around in t3.

After dropping off from the plane, we headed straight for our sightseeing portions of the trip, Which is a 2 hours bus ride to some bridge. That also means unglam photos of people sleeping.

anyway, after the bridge place, we moved on to see the himeji castle. Which had alot of history and stuff. and it was a really long hike up to the top of it.
