I think i'll sneak in a couple of posts if anything interesting happens.

Anyway, wanted to blog about my sunday night, haha. Its one of those totally retarded nights when i spend time with my family doing shopping, which is quite rare, coz i'm usually not at home. Erm, so i get high, and i start dancing in popular and doing other retarded stuff such as this.


I'm getting a headstart on parenting.

Btw, XD swore revenge for using slandering him on my blog. Wonder wads going to happen.. Wait, i wont know coz i'll be living in a cave for the next month. hahaha.

Fishing

07s64's newest 'catchword'-- fishing.



Its a word with a double meaning.
can be used in the following examples.

Scenario 1:

XD (name is censored to protect identity) bakes a box of cookies. brings them to school and distributes them to many girls. therefore, he is fishing. More specific usage would be 'trawler fishing' or "using a fishing net."

Scenario 2:

XD runs to some girl and starts chatting them up. He is also fishing.

I guess you guys know how it works now. Sorry XD for using you as an example, just that i couldnt think of anybody else. :P So, because of this word, there are now many variations and related words, such as "fishmonger", "bait" etc. added into s64 vocab.

or, even WOW(world of warcraft) terms can be added into the conversation. such as

ME: eh, curious ah. why you never fish her?
XD: oh, that one too high lvl. LVL ?? all my spells all gana resisted. no. IMMUNE! hahaha.
ME: haha, you need a 40-man raid to fish that one.
XD: hahaa. yayayaya.

sorry, girls i dun think anyone of you understood that.

Anyway, today at the treehouse, we had another one of those fishing conversations again.

They were like. "eh waihong, you still fishing the same fish ah?"
i was like " duh, ya." (i'm not a fishmonger.)
then, xd was like " when you're fishing, must leave the rod alone, dun nibble nibble only then pull, the fish will run away." Shaun continued to say" go get a drink, and come back and check your rod."

After more whining on my part, XD said like, " i think some fishes are just impossible to catch." i was like " NO!" *rolls around in the treehouse.*

haha. lastly, as my dear friend, jian hao, puts it nicely, not exact words but something like "its like you're in a desert with nothing around, only that one oasis with that one fish inside." (instead of saying "dun worry, there are many fishes in the sea.")

So, final verdict. is ... wait lor. 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, etc.

maybe, i can catch my dream fish eventually. if not, another fish will have to hop in from the ocean to the desert to find me. flying fish?

My walk so far

Today, my evangelism class teacher was an old woman. not really really old kind. She was an ex-GP teacher from SRJC, she was really funny. She was sharing her testimony about how she backslided when she was 15 coz she tot christianity was totally hypocritical. And she only got back to the Lord after 20 years. Entering the church to spy on her niece, she felt the presence of the Lord and just wept. The message that was being preached by pastor Seaward was What's the purpose of your life? She ran up to the altar for the altar call.
In 1996, her second son, a straight A's student from RJC was killed within a day after an accident on a bicycle. She wrote a book about it, " triumph through tragedy" never read it before. But, her even being the evangelism teacher and going to East Timor next month for 2 years in the mission field speaks volumes.

Testimony.
That's what touches people. this class left me thinking about what i have to tell people about the reality of my walk with God.
If i cant tell them how real God is to me, there's no incentive for them to wanna know my God right?

Not letting the devil rob my testimony, i shall type this down in my blog, so that i'll never forget it.

Although i have received Christ in my heart since my primary schooldays, i guess i could say i backslided due to several reasons.
However in sec 3, when i found a reality in Christ, i was totally changed, although i cant say an immediate one. it took sometime for the holy spirit to mould me. Sec 1 and sec 2, i was super vulgar. the f word, and all the hokkien expletives. aiyo. and also, i was easily agitated and horribly short tempered. You could ask any of my sec 1 sec 2 classmates or even some of the band people, i'm sure some of them will remember. what a far cry from wad i am now. although i'm no saint or wad, and i still get angry sometimes. I really thank God for changing me, that's the joy of my salvation. Without God, i cant imagine how life would have been. I would have been that person i once was.

Also, there are many incidents of God showing up in my life.
the first time God spoke to me, was on an overhead bridge across the expressway, on the way home. (this was in sec 4) While i was praying for God to tell me what to do. was having some ministry problems, people were quarreling because of me, and i was in the middle of a fight, used as a weapon for some politics in the ministry i would say. It was so bad, that the pastor even had to come to mediate. I was so frustrated, i wanted to quit the ministry. But, God told me to wait for the coming tuesday's prayer meeting. So, tuesday came and never ever in a prayer meeting that i've been to, that anyone prophesized, but on that very tuesday, pastor perry prophesized about perseverance, cant remember what all was said. i just knew that some guy came over and took over the drums, and i stood up, and wept and lifted up my hands. and up till now, i'm still in that same ministry. Praise God.

Second time was during a very emotionally turbulent period i was going through last year. Some bgr thing, dun wanna talk about it. Anyway, the geist of it, is that there was an altar call during our youth service. I went out and pray so hard, i remember praying to hear his voice. Then, my youth minister came to me and prayed for me. (he didnt know about my situation) and he pray for me to not be anxious about my loved ones. For He is going to send someone more beautiful, better to you. I cried like crazy, coz when God shows up in your life, and tells you a bunch of stuff about it that you dun wanna hear. haha. you just cry.

Third time was during youth camp last december. On the last night of camp, when pastor jude was giving his last service, i had a sudden bout of fever, and i started shivering in my seat. i was practically dying in my seat. my teeth were chattering too. when he asked all of us to stand up, i couldnt muster enough energy to stand, coz i was so tired and sick. i knelt down on the floor. Looked really religious, haha. Anyway, i prayed to God to heal me, i said like this is the last day, i wanna see something happen." then, lo and behold, i was healed. I had like adrenaline pumped into me or something, i went down to pray for my friends who were praying for the holy spirit, and cried and shouted with Tim and Jermyn. That was one heck of a revival night for them. Jermyn received the Holy spirit in the most radical way. haha. he got it in the shower back in the hotel room, and tim was just crying and shouting, i just went over and did the same with him. Gosh. God is really awesome. God always shows up on time. Thank God.

I pray that anyone who reads this will understand that God is real. You can ask me, ask jermyn or any other christian, we share our passion, because there is a reality. Why will we share in something that is not real?

well, its just media-fasting. So, us warriors in the EDGE worship ministry are going to fast from

2) Internet.
3) TV

Wait. how long is that?
1 month!!! hahahahaha.
no msn for 1 month!

Imagine everyday, we use bout 2 hours. using comp and watching tv. we convert that to either studying or praying and reading the bible. woah. so much time. haha. that's why i am so excited. really hope to grow closer to God in this one month of April.

Full Day Off

So, VJC the slackest JC in Singapore decides to give a full day off today.
I kinda packed my day.
1)Woke up at 6.40
Left house at 7.45
2)meet kenneth at 8
3)Goes to Marine Terrace to eat breakfast
4)Plays soccer at 10-12.30 with shikang,xian yi, edmund and kenneth
goes to dhoby ghaut
5)Jam for musicfest semifinals auditions 2-4 ( playing jenny over and over and over and over again. )
6)goes to PS to look for jenny ong.(ironic)
Jenny ong and rest of exco pang seh me.
7)Goes to tampines alone to find Reuel Kong. 6 ( pays him 15 dollars. )
8)Drink teh bing with him for half an hour, and talking about our lives. (he's my sec school friend who is doing a cooking diploma now, so its really cool to talk about his school and attachments)
9) Meets shikang,bk,hang yi for my church's good friday production. 7
10) watch easter production which was woah good. Tim and Pamella were really good. :D
11) Go eats supper with friends.
12) reach home at 11.30
13) talks on phone to catch up with ex-classmate
14) blogs.

Wee. made use of my full day to the max.

What's the world without your smile?

I wrote a new song recently.

its quite a random song. coz like i was lying on my bed on a friday night at around midnight. then, i think i was praying or something. then, i look at my clock, and realised the clock is still not fixed. yea. It's like stuck at 9.47 for like a week. haha.
So, i thought of some lyrics coupled with a really nice uptempo melody. so, i got up and switched on the lights and scribbled down the whole song. And went immediately to sleep. haha.
When i woke up, i forgot the tune already.. so retarded. so, i went to my piano and started playing some random chords in G and like then "woah!" i got a nicer, slower melody. which is like really nice. at least i think its nice.

I really like this God-given gift of songwriting. One of my cellgroup members mum told me a week or 2 ago that i must remember that my gifting is from God, so glory to God. Its really exciting and thank God for that.

Anyway, enough talking, here's the lyrics. didnt bother recording it coz its so super duper troublesome to do so. maybe next time.

Advantages and Disadvantages of being tall

So, then it goes to like something about being tall.

She's whining coz she thinks being tall is not really good.
becoz.

Disadvantages:
1) She doesnt feel like she's a normal girl. because girls are usually short i guess.
2) Get hit by oscillating handles of public transport. (even ceilings of double decker buses.)
3) Tall girls have lesser guys to choose from. Unless you dun mind shorter guys. hahaha
4) tall people die faster
5) short people are smarter (assumption)
6) higher cg.
7) bus drivers charge you adult fare when in home clothes.

Advantages:

so we're like brainstorming for ideas on how's its good to be tall.

1) Tall guys can choose from more girls! haha. that's the sad truth of life. toobadtallgirls
2) Tall people are more likely to be chosen to lead (theoretical)
3) We can play every ride of the theme park cause we pass all the height limitations
4) yinhong says that tall people look more matured can sneak into nc16 and m18 shows. zz..

Conclusion:

Disadvantages>Advantages

IF natural selection were to occur, the average height of singaporeans will continue to dwindle.
and we'll all be even punier asians.

Blogging with my iPod touch

got my iPod touch after waiting for like a week. its quite cool. Yes. Its kinda difficult to type on it coz you gotta have like insane like precision and accuracy, but I'm getting kinda used to it after typing like the first sentence. Am currently flying through the second sentence. Whee. K, enough playing around. I think shall go and sleep now. :)

10,000 B.C in Singapore.

Wah. watched 10,000 B.C with my exco yesterday. It was hilarious, not just the movie, but like the people whom i watched with. Its kinda embarrassing to even like think of it la. Sharon TAN! the most noisy person in the WHOLE cinema, not kidding. keep talking and talking, then this jenny also keep talking. Then when the bad guys like look at the girl, then sharon will like " cheekopek! cheekopek! " so loudly. so humiliating. haha. But all in all it was fun la, so long never go out together as a comm already. i think the last time they went to watch ratatouiee, then i like pang sehed them.

anyhow, was thinking about the show, it's kinda funny. didnt really felt like an awesome show, felt like pretty normal when i got out. The two girls were like "SO NICEE !, I love the boy, so cute." something like that ah. Was too tired la, so just stone and hear their high pitched voices cloud my thoughts.
OH, ya. There was this really insane pickup phrase ever. the guy said to the girl(while pointing to the star) " you see that light there in the sky that never moves? you are that light in my heart, and you'll always be there." something like that la, i recalling from memory one.
Anyway, this kind of pickup lines wont work on Singaporean girls la. they too demanding already. they'll be like " wah lao, wad kind of pickup line is that? go fly kite la. " or something. not saying that the line is particularly good.
IF like 10.000 B.C in Singapore, then it'll be like

Guy: I really like you la, like that xingxing up there in the sky, so bright you know?
GIrl: Pls, you come find me when you catch a mammoth can? no mammoth you dun even need to try. (gives the wadever look and the hand action)
Guy: Orhh. ok lor. Anyway, that day i kill the sabretooth tiger, then i made this necklace from its bone for you leh. very swee.
Girl: Aiyo, pls la. Now where got people still want handmade gift from bones one? we want diamond ring ah. you dun even have stable job, sometimes you come back from hunt no food, our children how? so undependable.
Guy: k la, for you. I go rear pigs and make bak kwa la.
